Hallvard Svadberg Hatløy had ten years of oil and gas-related engineering experience before he joined Weatherford in his current position—Manager, Operational Risk Mitigation. One aspect of working at Weatherford he has come to appreciate is the diversity of educational backgrounds and experience levels:
“I have encountered a refreshing blend of young and more experienced professionals here. That diversity carries over to educational backgrounds. In Germany, I tended to work with engineering professionals with similar backgrounds. But here, I am exposed to much more diverse spectrum. That diversity has been a real asset."

Arve Falch has been with Weatherford since 1981. He has held seven different positions throughout his tenure here and he is now a Business Group Manager for Tubular Running Services & Drilling Tools. Having consistently taken advantage of the company’s training and development opportunities, Falch’s advancement at the company is a reflection of his hard work.
“I have enjoyed myself from day one. Weatherford is a great company to work for. When I started out, it was much smaller—only 2000 employees globally. The company has grown steadily, but at the same time, it has remained focused on taking care of its employees. Weatherford has given me the opportunity to build a career."

Monica Storhaug joined WFT as an apprentice in September 2008. Although she began her training in chemical and process, when no position was available in that field, she was able to crossover to well engineering in the Stavanger offshore technical school.
As part of WFT’s apprentice program Monica has been able to work in other departments as well. “I learned more and was able to understand the work better from hands on experience. Working here I am able to see things that I didn’t have a chance to see when learning theory in school.”
She is currently employed within the Completions department.
“I have learned a lot while working here and it has been great fun. I hope to receive my certificate of apprenticeship and continue working at Weatherford."
